Dartmouth patrolman revives man in full cardiac arrest
DARTMOUTH, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – A patrolman for the Dartmouth Police Dept. was able to revive a 32-year-old Fall River man who had gone into full cardiac arrest while sitting in his car, police said.
Patrolman Robert Days was working a detail on Saturday when he heard over his radio that an unresponsive man had been found sitting in his car in the Walgreens parking lot on State Road in Dartmouth.
Patrolman Days responded to the scene and found a man, later identified as Scott Medas, in full cardiac arrest. He initiated CPR with the assistance of Patrolman Matthew Beauparland.
By the time rescue crews arrived, Medas was partially conscious. He was transported to St. Luke's Hospital for further treatment and has since been released.
