Police: Carver man arrested for assaulting pregnant fiance

CARVER, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – A 41-year-old Carver man is facing several charges, including domestic assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, after he allegedly slammed his pregnant fiance's head into the floor and kitchen table, police said.

Police were dispatched to 50 Cranberry Circle at about 9:50 a.m. Sunday.

Upon arrival, Jessica Damon, 28, told police that Robert Harris had slammed her head into the floor two times, slammed her head into a kitchen table, kicked her in the face two times, and slapped her across the face. The entire incident took place in front of their one-year-old child, police said.

According to police, Damon attempted to call police, but Harris allegedly had thrown her cell phone. She had visible injuries and was transported to the hospital.

Harris was arrested and charged with domestic assault and battery, assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon on a pregnant person, intimidation of a witness, assault and battery on a person who is pregnant, and assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon.

Harris was held without bail.
