HOLLIS, N.H. (MyFoxBoston.com) – A motor vehicle stop on Depot Road in Hollis on April 30 resulted in the arrest of two 19-year-olds on various drug charges, police said.

An officer stopped a car on Depot Road for a motor vehicle violation at about 11:50 p.m. on April 30.

According to police, as the officer approached the car, he smelled what he suspected was marijuana coming from inside the car. The officer also saw an unresponsive male in the front passenger seat.

Rescue crews were called to the scene to transport the man to an area hospital, police said. The car was seized pursuant to a drug investigation.

Police obtained a search warrant and searched the car on May 3. Inside the car, they allegedly found a large amount of drug paraphernalia and several substances that later tested positive for marijuana, cocaine, and heroin.

Following the seizure, authorities arrested Helena Wagstaff, of Swanzey, N.H. and Michael McWha, of Brookline.

Wagstaff is charged with possession of a narcotic drug, Class B felony, possession of a controlled drug, Class A misdemeanor, transportation of a controlled drug, Class A misdemeanor and transportation of alcohol by a Minor, and a violation. McWha is charged with two counts of possession of a narcotic drug, Class B felonies, and possession of a controlled drug, and a Class A misdemeanor.

Both Wagstaff and McWha were subsequently released on $5,000 cash/surety bail and are scheduled to be arraigned on June 26.
