Gov. Deal says Georgia needs to examine forfeiture laws

Governor Nathan Deal wants reform in the wake of a FOX 5 I-Team investigation and other news reports of how prosecutors spend seized drug money.

Deal is asking for the Criminal Justice Reform Council to study how law enforcement officials spend seized drug money. The call for reform follows a FOX 5 I-Team investigation of Douglas County District Attorney David McDade's spending habits.

Then, last week, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported on how Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard spent his seized drug money.

Records obtained by the I-Team show Howard spent thousands of dollars on sporting events, charity balls, office parties, and home security.

We already know about some of the fees our banks charge -- the monthly fee, the overdraft charge, out-of-network and minimum balance fees. That's standard stuff. But did you know that the average checking account has 30 fees attached?
