Sudden rains caused flash flooding in parts of the metro Atlanta area on Monday.

The Georgia Department of Transportation said that northbound lanes of Interstate 75 at Forest Parkway (Exit 237) were closed after the roadway was flooded.

In Forest Park, floodwaters seeped into a family's apartment.

The storms will begin to fade out late Monday, but some more showers will move in early Tuesday, according to FOX 5 Storm Team meteorologist Jeff Hill. Some of that rain could be heavy, so keep your umbrella handy.
