Philadelphia Police Crack Down On Prostitution

Posted: Updated:
PHILADELPHIA -

The Philadelphia Police cracked down on prostitution today. The Vice Unit conducted a sting operation in an area that they say has heavy prostitution activity.

The sting focused on alleged "Johns" who solicit prostitutes. Police say that exposing those who support prostitution can help discourage others from participating in it.

"We want to get the word out if you come into Philadelphia to pick up prostitutes, one, you're gonna be arrested, and if you're driving a vehicle, we're gonna confiscate your car," said Sergeant Joe Lanciano.
