Surveillance photos released after war veteran is killed outside his skateboard shop

WOBURN, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Middlesex District Attorney Marian T. Ryan's office and authorities need the public's help identifying the suspects in the fatal shooting of a Marine veteran and store owner in January.

Police said 39-year-old Shawn Clark, of Saugus, was shot January 29 outside his skateboard store on Main Street in Malden. He was taken to Melrose-Wakefield Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Authorities are trying to identify two males who are shown on video surveillance tapes and still photos taking part in the incident, who appear to be dark-skinned males wearing dark clothing, one of whom was armed with a handgun.

Following a confrontation between Clark and the two suspects inside the store, authorities said the victim was shot multiple times on the sidewalk just outside the front door of the store. The suspects fled on foot, down Edmund Street.

Clark served in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Anyone with information may call Massachusetts State Police at 781-897-6600 or Malden Police at 781-397-7171.
