ST. CLAIR SHORES, Mich. (WJBK) -

Police say a man used a crowbar to attack a store clerk during an attempted robbery at a hydroponic store in St. Clair Shores.

Detective Margaret Eidt says the suspect waited outside the Cultivation Station on Mack Ave. June 13 until he thought the coast was clear and entered the building.

When the hooded suspect stumbles upon an unknowing clerk, surveillance footage shows the suspect pull out a crowbar and repeatedly try to strike the worker.

The worker was able to escape with minor injuries and the suspect fled the scene with nothing more than his crowbar.

"He's a repeater," said Eidt. "He's going to try it again."

Eidt says the suspect is described as a white male between 5' 9" and 5' 11" with tattoos around his neck. Eidt believes he may be local to the St. Clair Shores area.

Anyone with information is asked to call St. Clair Shores police.
