Naylor, 35, could end up in prison for life. Fox 2 obtained exclusive video of the wild scene Thursday outside Perry's Palace party store in Pontiac. The sheriff's department says some kind of fight broke out and Naylor fired shots into a crowd waiting to see fireworks.

"As this argument broke out and pepper spray was spayed, it looks like maybe [Naylor] was hit with the pepper spray or it effected him," said undersheriff Mike McCabe with the Oakland County Sheriff's Dept. "That's when he pulled the gun out and started shooting."

Investigators are reviewing surveillance video captured by the party store. Wilford Donaldson, 33, died in the gunfire on Chamberlain and N. Perry. His two children, 6, year old boy and a 12 year old girl, are among six people injured. Naylor initially ran from the scene but with the help of witnesses, he was arrested about five hours later.

"He's not talking to us. He does have quite an extensive criminal history," McCabe said. "He's got several convictions for domestic violence, carrying a concealed weapon, embezzlement, and a couple other things."

Naylor is charged with second degree murder, five counts of attempted murder and weapons charges. He's being held without bond. The Oakland County medical examiner says Donaldson died from a single gunshot wound to the head.
