Philadelphia Celebrates Anniversary of Declaration Of Independence

PHILADELPHIA -

Tourists and spectators took a trip back to 1776 at Independence Hall this morning.

The Declaration of Independence was first read publicly on July 8th, 237 years ago.

The anniversary was marked with another public reading this morning.

John Nixon, a National Park Service ranger, dressed as a Revolutionary War militia officer as he recited excerpts in front of a pretty large crowd.
