Justin Bieber's Mom Comes To His Defense

Posted: Updated:

From his scuffles with the paparazzi, to showing up late to concerts.

One-time pop darling Justin Bieber has been receiving backlash from his fans, especially after getting "booed" at the Billboard Music Awards.

His mother, Patti Mallette, defends her son on "Fox & Friends".

Mallette says: "I think it's the same with any parent of an adult child.   You know, once they turn 18,19, and they move away from home and they start making their own decisions, the parenting style changes and you hope to still be a voice in their ear and you. You know, you've got to love them and encourage them and he knows what I think. He knows the things that I agree with. He knows the things that I disagree with.   But he also knows the many things that I'm really proud of him for.   He does a lot of great things that don't show up in the, in the headlines.

Mallette released her autobiography, "Nowhere But Up," last September.  The book made the New York Times best seller list during its first week.
