DERRY, N.H. (AP) — The town administrator in the New Hampshire community of Derry has been placed on administrative leave after state police began a criminal investigation of him.
The town council held an emergency meeting on Friday and decided to place John Anderson on leave with pay.
The acting town administrator tells WMUR-TV that the investigation does not involve town business but would not say what it's about.
Anderson could not be reached for comment. It was unknown if he was being represented by a lawyer.
