TSA agent pleads guilty to drug sales

Posted: Updated:

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - A federal airport security agent from western New York has pleaded guilty to selling drugs.

The Erie County District Attorney's Office says 29-year-old Todd Stoddard worked for the Transportation Security Administration at the Buffalo airport but was selling cocaine on the side.

He resigned from the TSA after his arrest in June for selling coke outside a town of Tonawanda bar.

The Cheektowaga resident pleaded guilty in state Supreme Court Thursday to selling and possessing drugs. He faces up to 18 years in prison when he's sentenced in October.

Authorities say the drug sales didn't impact security at Buffalo Niagara International Airport.
