WALTHAM, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Mosquitoes in Waltham have tested positive for the West Nile virus, health officials say.
According to the Waltham Dept. of Health, mosquitoes in the Mayall, Kendall, and Hillcroft areas of the city tested posted for the virus on July 17.
Although spraying was conducted in these areas last Thursday, the town will try to have these areas sprayed again Friday night.
No human cases have been reported.
Belmont, Waltham, Westport, and Whitman have also reported finding infected mosquitoes in their towns.
The first West Nile virus infected mosquitoes were found June 25.
