VILLA RICA, Ga. -

Five people were injured Saturday when a tarp over a stage collapsed at an event in Villa Rica.

According to Times-Georgian.com, it happened at the Curves & Chrome Rally for a Cure at the V-Plex in Villa Rica.  The stage was being used for live music.

The website reports that five people were taken to Tanner Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.  The collapse followed a storm that passed through the area and dumped large amounts of rain. The website reports people were already trying to get water off of the tarp when it collapsed.
