ROME, Ga. -

Dozens of people gathered in Floyd County on Sunday to protest George Zimmerman's acquittal in the killing of Trayvon Martin.  Participants marched through the center of Rome along Broad Street.

Protestors expressed their frustration with the jury's verdict in the case, and many called for federal action against Zimmerman.  Others are focused on the need for healing and moving forward, and renewal of a culture of nonviolence.

The event in Rome follows Saturday's prayer vigil and rally in downtown Atlanta, and more than 100 other rallies held in cities across the country.
