Lowell minor league team giving out Kerouac bobbleheads

Posted: Updated:

LOWELL, Mass. (AP) - The Lowell Spinners are giving out another bobblehead to honor Jack Kerouac.

The doll is the third and last in a series for the local hero, who wrote the literary classic, "On the Road." It will be handed out to fans at Thursday night's game against the Brooklyn Cyclones at LeLacheur Park.
This edition features Kerouac in his Lowell High School football uniform.
The first Kerouac doll in 2003 drew requests from around the world and had fans lining up for blocks.
Fans not able to attend the game will be able to buy one from the team's website for $20, with half going to the Kerouac Scholarship Fund.
