(WJBK) -

A close call for a group of divers in California who were only a few feet away from being lunch for a pair of humpback whales.

The divers were in the ocean near Avila Beach in southern California shooting underwater footage when the whales breach the surface to feed on a school of fish.

The divers were able to swim to the boat unharmed.

As one might expect from a man who is nearly slurped up by a whale, the original video contains a little profanity. Viewer discretion advised.
