BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Boston police are warning the public of two recent assaults on women that took place near Ashmont Station in Dorchester.

The first incident occurred Friday just before 12:30 a.m. on Ashmont and Burt streets. Investigators say the victim was walking away from the station when she was approached by a man who engaged her in conversation. She believed the man was flirting with her and she began to feel uncomfortable before he grabbed her from behind, placed his hand around her head, and attempted to take her cell phone.

The victim told police she bit the suspect's thumb during the attack. During the altercation, the suspect pushed the victim, resulting in a scratch to her forehead near her right eye. The suspect is accused of groping the female before fleeing down Burt Street toward Washington Street.

Investigators describe the suspect in Friday's incident as a black man in his mid 20s, possibly with a Jamaican accent, standing about 5'5" tall. At the time of the attack, he was wearing a do-rag and all black clothing.

The latest incident happened just after 7 a.m. Monday. A victim told police she was jogging north on Dorchester Avenue near Ashmont Station when she noticed a man walking toward her. She claims the man nudged her with his elbow and grabbed her buttocks as she ran past him.

The suspect in Monday's incident is described as a light-skinned black or Hispanic male in his 20s or 30s, with a thick build, between 5'9" and 5'10" tall, with short brown or black hair. He was wearing an oversized white t-shirt, black pants, and white ear-bud style headphones at the time of the assault.
