BURLINGTON, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Massachusetts State Police arrested a man and woman Tuesday night in Burlington after a routine traffic stop.

At about 8:50 p.m., Trooper Paul Langone pulled a car on Route 3 over for speeding. In his initial investigation, Langone learned the driver, 20-year-old Selina Salafia, of Lowell, had a suspended operator's license. Langone also found alcohol, a black mask, and a loaded, semi-automatic firearm, in the vehicle, State Police said.

Langone removed passenger Torrie Tatum, 22, of Boston, from the car and conducted a pat frisk for weapons. Langone discovered a loaded firearm on Tatum with a scratched-off serial number.

Tatum was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of a firearm with a defaced serial number, and unlawful possession of ammunition.

Salafia was issued a summons for operating after license suspension, speeding, and transporting alcohol as a minor.
