It's a celebration! Good Day NY is 25 years young.

The party got started on Thursday with a look down memory lane:

  • The show was launched on August 1, 1988.
  • The initial hosts were Marian Etoile Watson and Bob Fitzsimmons.
  • A few months later Jim Ryan took over.

 

    Some other people who have worked the show before the current team of Greg Kelly and Rosanna Scotto:

    Lyn Brown, Jodie Applegate, Ron Corning, Chris Gailus, Lucy Noland, Lynne White, Gordon Elliot, Penny Crone, Dave Price, Dick Oliver and Maria Genero.

      The future is here when it comes to vehicles. The auto industry has packed nearly 1,000 automobiles into the Jacob Javits Center on Manhattan's West Side for the 2014 NY Auto Show.   Among the 'must-sees' is a hydrogen-powered vehicle and a prototype with cameras that allow you to see the ground underneath as you drive over it.

      “I was supposed to be dead before last Easter," said Valerie Harper about her diagnosis of cancer in the lining around her brain.  Harper's indomitable spirit and the support from fans of her character 'Rhoda' in the 1970s hit series 'The Mary Tyler Moore Show' has kept her going. "It’s a tasty headline," said Harper about the magazine where the inaccurate report was made.
