The Seastreak ferry is already in operation by between the Rockaways, Pier 11 in Lower Manhattan and East 34th Street in Midtown.

Beginning on Monday, August 5, it will begin making stops at the Brooklyn Army Terminal Pier (58th Street in Sunset Park). The ferry service will continue through Labor Day, after which city officials will consider an extension of the service. One-way fares are $2.

Ferries will depart 58th Street in Sunset Park (next to the Brooklyn Army Terminal) every 50 to 35 minutes for Manhattan until 10:00 a.m. and regular service resuming during the evening rush.
