Boston Herald: Suspect linked to Rakes murder by GPS

Posted: Updated:

(MyFoxBoston.com) –  The man accused of poisoning Stephen "Stippo" Rakes to death was caught by his own GPS, the Boston Herald reports.

Rakes' body was found in Lincoln on July 17. The day before, he allegedly met with 69-year-old William Camuti. Authorities say Camuti put two teaspoons of cyanide in Rakes' iced coffee.

Citing court paperwork, the Herald says police searched Camuti's electronics and linked him to where the body was dumped by information on his GPS.

Camuti allegedly owed Rakes a significant amount of money. He is facing an attempted murder charge. Investigators are expected to upgrade the charges to murder once the final toxicology results are available.
