QUINCY, Mass. (AP) — A Randolph man is headed to court after allegedly punching and breaking the jaw of a driver he believed was speeding down his street.

Phillip Vasialka is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday in Quincy District Court on a charge of assault and battery causing serious bodily injury.

Police say the 30-year-old Vasialka thought David Bazer was speeding down his street on Tuesday, so followed him to a nearby gas station.

When the 25-year-old Bazer got out of his vehicle, Vasialka allegedly punched Bazer twice in the face, breaking his jaw.

Bazer's mother says her son will need extensive surgery and that he lost feeling in his lower jaw which may be permanent.

It was unclear if Vasialka had a lawyer.
