BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) – A suspicious package was found outside a Boylston Street restaurant that was heavily damaged in the Boston Marathon bombings.
The package outside Forum restaurant was reported to police Wednesday afternoon.
Boston police officers and the bomb squad unit rushed to the scene and shut down part of the street to investigate.
The area was eventually cleared after the package was deemed safe. Investigators later said the package was an empty box.
Forum just recently re-opened after months of rebuilding from the blasts. The restaurant was located just feet from where the second bomb was detonated on April 15.
