That's Italian! Douglasville retiree cooks up second slice

DOUGLASVILLE, Ga. -

A lot of us have wondered what we will do once we retire. One Douglasville woman faced that question and has turned her answer into a tasty and exciting second chapter of her life.

You might now know her name yet – Liza (pronounced ‘Leeza') Barney – but, pretty soon you'll definitely recognize her lasagna.

Good Day Atlanta's Paul Milliken made a bee line to her kitchen in Douglasville where she was cooking up her award-winning recipe.

And, some food for thought:  Liza won a nationwide online Italian recipe contest put on by Maggiano's restaurant. Participants submitted their favorite Italian recipes, with Liza's Spinach & Artichoke Lasagna Rolls with Sausage Bolognese Sauce winning first place.

And, Liza previously appeared on TV One's "My Momma Throws Down" as well as Lifetime Movie Network's "Supermarket Superstars."  She and I will be live in her kitchen -- showing off her Italian recipe and discussing her interesting story of Corrections Officer to Cook.
