LOWELL, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – A man wanted in Chicago for allegedly beating another man into a coma outside a 7/11 was arrested in Lowell Thursday.

According to the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, 19-year-old Christian Roberts was taken into custody at a relative's Suffolk Street apartment.

Roberts was arrested on a warrant out of Chicago, Illinois charging him with attempted murder. He allegedly beat a man unconscious with a metal object in front of a 7/11 store and then ran the victim over with his car.

Authorities believe Roberts, who is believed to me a member of the Bloods Street Gang, was hiding in Lowell for approximately one week before his arrest.

Roberts was processed by the Lowell Police Department as a fugitive from justice for removal to Chicago.
