HINGHAM, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Hingham police are looking for two men who ransacked a Prospect Street home Thursday.
Investigators say the homeowner arrived back at her residence at about 1:15 p.m. to find a strange car parked in her driveway. When she entered the home, she found two men inside.
Both men ran toward the back of the house carrying bags. They ran out the back porch and jumped approximately 10 to 15 feet down to the ground while carrying the bags.
The suspects made it back to the car in the drive way and took off. The homeowner described the car as a black sedan.
Investigators believe the men entered the home by cutting a front screen and lifting an unlocked window. The men went through the bedrooms, taking jewelry and a pillow case. The residents were trying to determine if any other items were taken from the home Thursday night.
Hingham police say anyone who finds a suspicious car parked at or near their home should call 911 and allow an officer to check out the house.
Anyone with information regarding the Prospect Street burglary is asked to call Det. Robert Mansfield at 781-749-1212.
