12 things from 90s pop culture we want to make a comeback

Posted: Updated:

With rumors of an 'NSYNC reunion flying, even those who weren't fans of the boy band have to be feeling a little bit nostalgic. In honor of the rumored VMAs reunion, we've come up with a list of other things from 90s pop culture we desperately want to make a comeback.

AOL Instant Messenger

- In reality instant messenger probably should have been called "AOL post brooding away messages and colorful profiles," but it was still pretty awesome.

Dawson's Creek

- The only thing that may have made me cry harder than the finale of Dawson's Creek was the end of Titanic. Even though the last episode tied a pretty bow on the series, I think I speak for all Dawson's Creek fans when I say we want more.

Bop it

- Was there no greater feeling of crushing defeat than bopping it when you were supposed to pull it?

Destiny's Child

- Because their Super Bowl halftime performance just wasn't enough!

- I have to be honest, I never really learned how to play the game, but I had a Pogs collection worthy of an award.

Family Matters

- Sad fact: anyone younger than 15 grew up in a world without Steve Urkel's laugh.

Full House

- I had a Jesse and the Rippers poster on my wall in college. Whenever someone younger than me didn't get the reference, I died a little inside. We could all use a Tanner family reunion.

Spice World 2

- The first Spice Girls movie was a cinematic masterpiece, also the lack of girl power and platform shoes in this world is unacceptable.

Sega Game Gear

- I'm proud to say I may be one of the few people who still has a functioning Game Gear and I still play Sonic the Hedgehog every now and then. I know the video game graphics have gotten better over the years, but this keyboard-sized console will always have a special place in my heart.

Saved By the Bell

- Was there a better television couple in the 90s than Kelly and Zack? Maybe Corey and Topanga on Boy Meets World, but they're already getting a new show! This year would mark the gang's 20-year high school reunion (that makes me feel depressingly old) so why not bring them all back together.

Michael Jordan

- I don't even care that Jordan is 50, if he came back to the league I would watch... especially if the cast of Space Jam were involved.

- Considering Jennifer Aniston actually looks younger now than she did when this show was on the air, I still have a hard time coming to terms with the fact that this show went off the air almost 10 years ago. I'm pretty sure I'm more interested in what is going on in the lives of Ross, Monica, Chandler, Joey, Phoebe, and Rachel than my own friends and family.
