WWII Vet Gets His Missing Dog Tags Returned

Posted: Updated:

A World War two veteran gets his dog tags back, after they had been missing for 67 years.

92-year-old Ache Maundy served four years in the Marine Corps, and thought he lost the tags in China, but an Indiana couple recently found them while digging in their garden.

Maundy says he will give them to his son to keep, so he doesn't lose them again.

Maundy says, "It felt like I was picking up an old jewel that I had missed. I actually fell down and cried."

Maundy also earned a Purple Heart during his time in service.

That too his kept at his son's home.
