Chicago's Most Wanted: South Holland bank robber

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

It appears the man the FBI is after this week robbed a bank in the south suburbs.

The robbery happened on Aug. 6, 2013 at the BMO Harris bank branch in South Holland, at 44 West 162nd Street.

The man walked into the bank, approached the teller and demanded money. After getting an undisclosed amount, he fled the bank.

As part of his demands to the teller, this individual implied that he had a weapon and also patted his hip as though he had a gun under his shirt. But he never actually displayed a weapon.

Pictures from bank cameras captured some pretty good images of the man, who wore a White Sox ball cap, but seems to have made no effort to disguise his identity.

FBI agents hope someone who sees this story will call them. The FBI is offering a reward for information that helps them identify and arrest this individual.

There's one other bit of information that might help in identifying this robber: the teller noticed he had what appeared to be a CTA-issued identification card.

Here is the FBI's description of the robber:

  • black male in his 40's
  • 5'6''-5'8''
  • muscular build
  • brown eyes
  • silver glasses
  • during the robbery he wore a narrow-trimmed black beard and a moustache

He is considered a danger to the community, if you see him, or know who he is, call the FBI or local police.
