Woman killed in Bronx hit-and-run

NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

A woman is dead after she was struck by an SUV in a hit-and-run in the Bronx early Saturday morning.

24-year-old Abigail Lino was found by police unconscious and unresponsive with trauma to her body around 3:02 a.m. at the intersection of Bruckner Boulevard & Austin Place.

EMS arrived at the scene and pronounced Lino dead.

Authorities say a light colored SUV was traveling southbound on Bruckner Boulevard when it struck Lino as she was crossing from Bruckner Boulevard to Austin Place.

The driver fled the scene of the incident.

There are no arrests at this time the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers and 1-800-577-TIPS.
