Dunkin' Donuts in West Roxbury robbed at knifepoint

Posted: Updated:

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) – Witnesses say an armed man burst into a Dunkin' Donuts on Washington Street in West Roxbury Tuesday night.

Investigators say the suspect entered the store just before 9 p.m., jumped over the counter, and brandished a knife. The suspect demanded cash from a store clerk before fleeing in the direction of Washington and Stimson streets.

The suspect is described as a man between the ages of 25 and 30, wearing a half mask, black hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, dark winter gloves, green socks, and black sneakers that were possibly Nike brand.
Sources told FOX 25 this could be connected to a string of more than a dozen Dunkin' Donuts robberies over the last few weeks in Massachusetts.

Anyone with information is asked to call Boston detectives at 617-343-4566. Tips can also be made anonymously to the CrimeStoppers Tip Line at 1(800) 494-TIPS or by texting the word 'TIP' to CRIME (27463).
