WATERTOWN, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Two bra thefts at the Victoria's Secret in the Arsenal Mall are the latest in a string of robberies at two of the lingerie store's Mass. locations.
The Watertown store reported losing nearly $5,000 worth of inventory following two thefts last week, according to the Boston Globe. The store reported 70 bras were reported stolen on Aug. 24 and another 24 were reported stolen on Aug. 29. The exact times and dates of the thefts were not clear, store managers believe they likely occurred within a 24-hour period.
Thieves pilfered $1,000 worth of bras from the Victoria's Secret in Watertown in 2012 and more than $1,000 in perfumes and lotions earlier this year.
Peabody police are also investigating the Aug. 29 theft of 72 bras worth nearly $4,000 from the Victoria's Secret in the Northshore Mall. The Salem News reports the store previously reported 60 bras had been stolen before July 16 and 165 pairs of underwear were stolen in May.
There is no word on whether or not police believe the thefts are related.
