WILTON, N.H. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Police in New Hampshire are investigating the reported attempted abduction of a 7-year-old girl in Wilton.

Investigators say they received a report of the attempted abduction at about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The child told police she was playing in a driveway on Potter Road when a maroon, older model pickup truck stopped at the top of the driveway. She said the man driving the truck got out and chased her up the driveway. The girl told police she was able to enter her home before the man could reach her.

According to the child, the man returned to his truck and left the area toward Abbot Hill Road. He is described as a clean shaven white man, approximately 6' tall, with a medium build and short brown hair. At the time of the alleged incident, he was wearing a light blue t-shirt and jeans that were either brown or gray.

The child also told police there was a second man in the truck, but she could not provide a description of him.

Anyone with information or anyone who witnesses suspicious activity in the area is asked to call Wilton police at 603-654-9452 or tips@wiltonnhpd.com.
