CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

This is what the FBI calls a takeover robbery.

It is one of the most dangerous types of robberies. In this case, three men rushed into a U.S. Bank branch in Lansing, Illinois on August 22. The bank is at 171st and Torrence Avenue.

Two of the men jumped over the counter and physically attacked and injured a couple of bank employees during the course of the robbery. The men were armed with handguns, but no shots were fired. They did use the guns to threaten and intimidate the bank employees.

The men were loud and very confrontational in their interactions with those inside the bank. They carried duffle bags with them and ordered the bank employees to put the cash in them.

The FBI is offering up to $10,000 for information that helps identify and arrest these men. There are no clear pictures of the men's faces, but FBI agents hope a Fox 32 viewer sees this story, and is reminded of something they heard, or someone who they know came into some unexplained money.

This is a dangerous group the FBI hopes to catch before there's another crime.

Here are the best descriptions the FBI has of these bank robbers

--Three black males

--Each man is 5' 7'' - 5' 10'' with brown eyes

--Each man was wearing a hooded sweatshirt and a bandana over his face

These men are considered armed and dangerous. If you have any information about who they are, you are asked to contact police or the FBI.
