Court docs reveal alleged cover-up plot by UNH student's accused killer

Posted: Updated:

DOVER, NH (MyFoxBoston.com) -- The man accused of killing University of New Hampshire student and Westborough native Lizzi Marriott allegedly thought about framing and killing key witnesses to the crime.

According to Seacoastonline, Seth Mazzaglia wrote letters detailing plans to frame Paul Hickock and Roberta Gerkin.

Investigators allege Hickock and Gerkin were called to Mazzaglia's apartment by the 30-year-old's ex-girlfriend, Kathryn McDonough, after Marriott's Oct. 2012 death. They claim Mazzaglia told the pair "this time I went too far." Prosecutors, who allege Marriott was killed after or during an attempted sexual assault, claim Hickock and Gerkin saw the 19-year-old's body inside the apartment.

According to the website, court documents filed Friday allege Mazzaglia, who wrote the letters to McDonough, suggested killing Gerkin.

McDonough said she was there the night Marriott died and has since pleaded guilty to covering up evidence.

Marriott's body has not been found.
