HADDON TOWNSHIP, N.J. -

Police in Haddon Township search for a robber who injured an 83 year old woman.

According to authorities, the suspect broke into the woman's home on Sunday. He threatened to kill her if she didn't give him money, says police. After a brief struggle, she was able to press a Life Alert device around her neck, says investigators. The man then ran off with the woman's purse.

She was taken to the hospital with bruises and lacerations, but she declined treatment at the hospital.

The suspect is described as 5'6, medium build, and with blue eyes.

Anyone with information is urged to call Camden County Prosecutor's Office Detective Gerald Torres at (856) 225-8617 or Haddon Township Detective Tim Hack at (856) 854-1176.
