NEWBURGH, N.Y. (AP) -- A New York Air National Guard member killed in Afghanistan last week has been honored at an air base in the Hudson Valley.

The plane carrying Staff Sgt. Todd J. Lobraico Jr.'s body arrived Wednesday afternoon at Stewart Air National Guard Base in Newburgh, home to the Air National Guard's 105th Airlift Wing. A memorial ceremony was attended by Air Guard members and others.

Lobraico was a member of the 105th Security Forces Squadron. He died last Thursday after his unit was attacked near Bagram Airfield.

The 22-year-old Lobraico was from New Fairfield, Conn. He joined the Air National Guard in 2008 and was on his second overseas deployment.

His parents also serve in the 105th Airlift Wing.

A funeral will be held Friday in Danbury, Conn.

Roadkill is part of the menu when it's feeding time at a zoo in western New York. The Seneca Park Zoo has been feeding deer carcasses to its carnivores for years. The practice began after a zoo employee hit a deer on the way to work. The zoo gets the deer after they've been hit by vehicles on Rochester-area roadways. But it won't accept deer that have been dead for more than 10 hours. The zoo also accepts deer killed by bow hunters.

Burger chain Five Guys is testing the adage that everything tastes better with bacon. It is rolling out a customizable milkshake program and along with bananas, peanut butter, Oreo cookies, salted caramel, you can chose bacon.  Yes that's right: a bacon milkshake.
