Family grieves, waiting to catch hit-and-run killer

Posted: Updated:
DETROIT, Mich. (WJBK) -

The family of Troy Coston, 53, has a message for the hit-and-run killer that took Coston's life.

Coston was walking home across an I-94 overpass Friday morning. His house wasn't very far away, and neighbors say they heard the loud noise caused by the crash.

"I heard this big boom, it was very loud, and then I jumped up and looked out my back door window," says a neighbor, Alberta Smith.

Coston was rushed to the hospital, where family members thought he would be able to pull through. However, Coston passed away from his injuries Wednesday evening.
