PROVIDENCE, R.I. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Three people are in the hospital after police broke up a wild party at a Providence nightclub.

According to the Providence Journal, the club Roxy was holding an event called "I'm Shmacked," which was organized by a group that creates documentaries about college life and stages parties all around the country.

The event's Facebook page says students from the University of Rhode Island were the featured guests at the 18 and older party. The newspaper says students from Bryant University, Providence College and Johnson & Wales University were also there. Police officers were called in to help with crowd control.

The newspaper says two women and one man were taken to the hospital for alcohol-related issues. The man was reportedly a 19-year-old URI student who couldn't stand. Another young woman was carried to the middle of Washington Street by a firefighter. She was apparently unconscious and taken away in an ambulance.
