LEOMINSTER, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Leominster parents may be seeing police officers on your child's school bus.

According to the Sentinel and Enterprise, the town's mayor is considering the move following two bus accidents in just a week and a half. Now, the city may put officers on school buses or provide police escorts to make sure kids are safe. They're also considering posting cops along bus routes.

The newspaper says the city will use message boards to warn drivers that school is in session and they need to keep a safe distance from buses.

Mayor Dean Mazzarella told the newspaper Leominster has a federal grant that it can use to pay for the extra patrols.
