Mostly sunny skies, highs in the mid-70s Sunday

FROM FOX 25 METEOROLOGIST SARAH WROBLEWSKI

A lot of folks commenting on the feel of fall today! Clouds continue to stick around New England as a piece of energy in our upper atmosphere pushes on through. The air is so dry that no showers are being reported, but more clouds than sun has kept us on the cool side with highs mainly in the 60s. Tonight, those clouds will begin to break apart as that upper level disturbance moves away. Winds will turn light and temps will fall back into the 40s. It may stay closer to the low 50s near the coast.

High pressure from the west will continue to build into New England on Sunday keeping us dry. Expect mostly sunny skies and as winds turn out of the southwest it will be a bit warmer. Highs will be in the upper 60s to mid 70s. It should be a great day for any outdoor activities!

A return to wet weather is expected on Monday. A cold front will push through the area bringing clouds back into the forecast.  Skies will average mostly cloudy and an umbrella will be handy with the risk of scattered showers. Highs will be near 70.   Once this front moves through, it will be a much drier and cooler day for Tuesday.
