NASHUA, N.H. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A 20-year-old New Hampshire man was arrested on an outstanding warrant Friday amid allegations that he assaulted a 16-year-old girl inside a Nashua home.
Devonta Soto, of Nashua, is facing domestic violence charges that include second degree assault, criminal restraint, felonious sexual assault, criminal mischief, and simple assault.
Investigators responded to a local hospital on July 30 for a report of a 16-year-old girl being treated for injuries sustained in a domestic assault. They allege the girl was punched, kicked, and choked by Soto, who would not allow the girl to leave the home. Soto is accused of breaking the victim's cell phone during the incident.
The teen was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Nashua police say the felonious sexual assault charge stems from allegations that Soto engaged in sexual relations with the victim when she was 15 years old.
Soto was held on $75,000 cash bail pending his Monday arraignment.
