A man who was dodging cars on a Manhattan street, leading to police gunfire that wounded two bystanders, faces multiple counts including menacing and resisting arrest, according to the NYPD.

Glenn Broadnax, 35, of Brooklyn, has also been arrested on a charge of criminal possession of a controlled substance, said police.

"The individual continued to allude the officers. He simulated shooting at the officers," said NYPD Cmsr. Ray Kelly.

Two officers opened fire Saturday night near Times Square after Broadnax made movements suggesting he had a weapon, though he turned out to be unarmed. The officers' shots-- three in total-- missed him, and he was eventually brought down by a stun gun, said police.

The bullets struck a 54-year-old woman in the right knee and a grazed a 35-year-old woman in the buttocks, police said. Neither had injuries considered life threatening.

Broadnax is in custody. He reportedly has 23 prior arrests, according to the NY Post.

The officers are on desk duty while an investigation is conducted.

Realty TV star Kim Kardashian probably wished she did have one before she walked down the aisle with Kris Humphries. We might never have known about Tiger Woods' cheating ways if he had one. And figure skater Johnny Weir is insisting on one as part of his post-nuptial agreement. What is it? A digital privacy clause.
