From FOX 25 meteorologist Shiri Spear:
Expect mostly cloudy skies today with intermittent, generally light, showers.
A cold front will track eastward across the area this morning through midday. Spotty showers will likely develop by 8 a.m. in Boston. Overall, rain totals today will be 0.1" or less. A few communities, possibly in southeastern Mass, will see 0.1"-0.25". The threat of lightning is low, but a rogue lightning strike can't be ruled out completely.
A few showers may persist in the Boston area until 8 p.m. Southeastern Mass may hold on to a few sprinkles until about midnight.
The second half of the overnight hours Tuesday will bring clearing skies to the region. It will turn breezy along the coast with northerly winds 10-20 mph. Inland areas will cool down significantly. A patchy frost is possibly in northwestern Mass and southern NH with lows by sunrise in the mid 30s. The coast will stay milder but still chilly with lows in the 40s.
It will be all about the cool sunshine Tuesday. Highs will be in the lower 60s—almost 10 degrees below average! Wednesday and Thursday also feature mostly sunny conditions with slowly increasing highs. The rest of the work week will be dry.
A word of caution… Wednesday morning will be the coldest AM of the week. Please stay tuned to issued Frost Advisories for your area. Tender plants will need to be covered in this scenario.
