Motorcyclist killed, passenger injured in Dartmouth crash

DARTMOUTH, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – A motorcyclist was killed and two others were injured in a two-vehicle crash that occurred in the 100 block of Bakerville Road in Dartmouth Sunday afternoon.

Officers responded to the crash involving a motorcycle and a car at about 3:30 p.m.

The operator of the motorcycle, 25-year-old Peter Brehaut, of Dartmouth, was taken to St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

A 24-year-old Westport woman, who was riding on Brehaut's motorcycle, was taken via medical helicopter to Rhode Island Hospital to receive treatment for life threatening injuries.

The driver of the car involved, a 54-year-old Fairhaven woman, sustained minor injuries.

At the time of the crash, both Brehaut and his passenger were wearing helmets.

The crash is under investigation.
