New Baltimore, Mich. (WJBK) -- Investigators say the fire that destroyed Poncho's Mexican Restaurant was set intentionally. The flames spread quickly Sunday morning, causing serious damage to the building.

The New Baltimore Fire Department was able to extinguish the flames quickly, with the help of several area departments. Investigators say the fire did not start in the kitchen area. When emergency crews first arrived at 37029 Green St., the rear entryway was on fire. Fortunately no one was hurt.
