'Submit The Documentary' Producer Talks About Cyberbullying

Posted: Updated:
PHILADELPHIA -

Cyberbullying is a growing epidemic for our kids and teenagers. It can lead to behavioral problems, hurt self-esteem, and failing grades. And there are the especially tragic few that end in loss of life. Just last week, a 12-year-old Florida girl committed suicide after relentless online bullying.

Philadelphia native Paul Wright is the executive producer for the film "Submit the Documentary," which sheds light on this alarming trend.

Wright compares cyberbullying to physical bullying: "If I get bullied in the playground, when I get home my mom is there, my dad is there, I'm in my room, I'm safe for a little while, I will tell them. In cyberbullying it is continuing to come in, so the words begin to cut more deeply because they are coming at you."

"Submit the Documentary" is screening at the Franklin Institute this Saturday at 1:15 p.m. You can get information for other screenings at submitthedocumentary.com.

Watch Paul Wright, the film's executive producer on Good Day, talking about his movie and about Cyberbullying.
