Police release sketch of man accused of impersonating officer, groping woman

DANVERS, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Police in Danvers have released a sketch of a man they said impersonated an officer and groped a woman during a bogus traffic stop.

The incident happened at about 6:15 p.m. Tuesday near the intersection of Route 128 and Elliot St.

The woman told police a man driving a Black Dodge Charger with blue grill lights pulled her over. The woman said the man insisted she get out of the vehicle and eventually groped her. He then fled on State Road toward Route 62.

The man is described as white, with a medium build, dark hair and was wearing a dark-colored uniform with a badge. A sketch of the man was released.
